Joseph: During Trials-Strenghened By God

In Genesis 37, Joseph [the son of Jacob] is sold into slavery by his older brothers because of their jealousy and hatred towards him. During this period in his life, Joseph would be tested, but God was with him the entire time. From Genesis 39, we will examine how:

·         Joseph gained strength through the LORD’s blessings

·         Joseph gained strength through facing temptation

·         Joseph gained strength through facing humiliation

·         Joseph gained strength through the LORD’s presence – kindness – and favor

·         All believers go through trials and temptations
