In Luke 19, we find Jesus going into the house of Zacchaeus, a publican [tax] collector – seeking to save the lost of the Jews. In Luke 15, the scribes and Pharisees are upset that publicans and sinners are drawn to Jesus. Again, Jesus says He is seeking the lost to save them. To get His point across, Jesus tells three parables that speak about losing – searching for – finding – and celebrating the return of the lost. We will examine:
· Our [believers’] attitude towards those who are still lost
· The state of being lost
· The love and mercy God has for us
